The Walgreens weekly ad in this video from the store states that that deal is with the in store coupon combined with the manufactures coupon. Maybe your local store is telling you something they shouldn't. Do you have access to a weekly ad from your local Walgreens?
no walgreens changed there coupon policy. you can no longer use a store coupon and a mfg. coupon together.
My coupon is for a dollar off 2 also.
thanks for letting me know about that. Also, this Walgreens sale flyer says "1.00 off from coupon in most Sunday papers". It doesn't say anything about online coupons 🙁

I know, according to the walgreens weekly ad, you combine the in-store coupon AND a Sunday paper coupon to get it for .99. This is where the Sunday coupon listing on the sale flyer is wrong, because the ad is for buy 2 and get 1.00 off of 2.
