I am a little confused about how the Walgreen's cash back works. Did you have to make the initial transaction to get the rewards, and then go back through to actually spend it on a second transaction; or can you use the Walgreen's cash reward in the same transaction it was earned?

I went to the Walgreens close to me and the cashier didn’t do the $5 off for Crest and other coupons I had printed for other items. I didn’t want to say anything I got really nervous. My mom had to return everything. I went to a different Walgreens and it totally worked. Thank you!
