Just grabbed the newly updated and re-released Pittsburgh Portable Manual Tire Changer for 45 bucks after 25% off coupon even though I already have the old one. The coupon worked but my original from 10 years ago was still cheaper at 32 bucks after 20% coupon.

Anyway, my old one is now dedicated to motorcycle tires since I’m missing the post cap and the part that holds the wheel down. Unfortunately, that part is completely ruined on the new unit. The Acme threaded rod inside the post cap is bent and mangled so the cap seizes against the center post when turning. The bracket on top for tightening is only tack welded at the corners. Looks like I’ll be heading back for an exchange. 🙁

Jason and Summer says:

So would the U.S. GENERAL 44 in. Double Bank Top Chest, Green – Item 64957 be excluded from the 25% off??

Mike says:

It also cannot be used with anything that has an instant savings tag on it which is 90% of the damn store. Also it can't be used on things like Jack's like any Jack floor jack hydraulic anyting any Jack or cabinets are safes or air compressors any that stuff so like essentially nothing in the store can be bought with that coupon. Tell me what I can buy with it and actually read all the exclusions on the coupon before you say it's just certain brands

ORVONTON says:

Lord yes… I'd use that anvil everyday… 115 dollar chunk of steel to bang on…

John Cooper says:

Did you notice that the Hercules 13.5 amp corded grinder is on sale for half off!?

thebigbry says:

Yeah it's just annoying. Instead of listng the 30 things you can't buy. Just say only valid on these 10. Save 25% on hand tools and accessories. . Then we can't complain.

Andrew T says:

I wanted to buy the dent remover stud welder, do you think that it's obscure enough that they overlooked it in the welder exclusion?

Scott Frank says:

Did you say a while back that a cordless sheet metal nibbler from Hercules was coming? Any additional info on that? Thank you!

Shane O'Neill says:

I use an e-track system in my enclosed trailer. It's very handy to secure loads of varying sizes. Also for holding down motorcycles. It was a worthwhile investment.

David Taylor says:

The Loading Ramps by Haulmaster are some nice deals to use the 25% on. The cheapest one is $75 but they go up to $150 or more I think. A good thing to spend it on if you need them.

Don D'Egidio says:

Hi Jeff,
Was at my local HF last week with some ITC coupons, and you know there they say "Limit 2", found out that ITC members have no limits on the quantity. Went there to purchase the Yukon 5-tier shelving units, which the coupon had a limit of 2, and the teller mentioned that there would be no limits since I was an ITC member. Walked out with 5 of the units.

joe vrabel says:

Where do you get the coupon?

MarzNet256 says:

You can use your kids skateboard as a dolly in a pinch…it actually works pretty well.

VB says:

I've all but given up on HF here, the local store used to be great but they did a remodel about 7 years ago and now they no longer have tool storage, jacks, and most larger items, they stopped carrying flashlight batteries and Nimh's too.
They're super stocked on wood working tools and rechargable tools. They have a a ton of lawn and garden items, tarps, and air tools but they rarely have more than one or two compressor choices, when a sale comes, they have maybe 3 or 4 of any given item and can never seem to find their rain check forms, which doesn't matter because once they sell out of something on sale, you never see it again.
The only things I buy there now are nitrile gloves, wire wheels for the bench grinder and 4.5" cut off wheels. The last time I was there not a single employee knew what a rechargeable battery was or if they carried them, they also has no clue where or if they had LED shop lights or glass bead. I felt like i was in a foreign country with no one able to understand what I was asking for.
I wasn't alone, there were dozens of people sitting there puzzled as to how grown men could be so clueless. Another time I asked where the socket rails and 1/4" drive ratchets were and they looked at me like I was speaking Greek. An hour search of the store didn't find either so I left and ordered what I needed elsewhere online. They had a good bunch of people in that store before, but they suddenly changed every employee and dropped nearly all of the items they carried that most folks used. My guess is that they're going to close up the local stores, because they can't be selling much because they don't have much.

Over the past two years I needed the following and they didn't have it,
a 6" vise, 6.5hp Predator engine, 12 4ft LED shop lights, (they had one), tool cart, tire tubes, AC
O ring assortment,. Tool bags that were on sale, Hercules cut off wheels, inner shield mig wire, mig tips, a dozen AAA NiMH batteries, oil drain pan, 1/4" ratchet, socket rails, solderless connector assortment, gram scale, and rubber air hose. They had none of these and still don't. A few items I got from a store 100 miles from here but by the time I found myself there I had already bought most items elsewhere.
I'm not sure what's going on but its not good and I've gotten completely out of the habit of even checking there now. I'm sure many others have a well.

MG Plays says:

Would the 25% off coupon work on the utility trailer they have in store?

Big John says:

Carful with HF sales. An advert told me a percentage off (20 or 25% I do recall exactly) and I went to HF and talked to a clerk about some of the power tools. He was very helpful and I dropped around $200+ dollars worth of power tools into my cart along with air comressor parts, blads, gringing wheels, etc. The woman at the register said that none of the power tools were part of the sale. The sale paper that she opened up at the counter was not clear about the items not being part of the sale and I pointed out this gray area in what was covered and what was not. She did not argue but stood her ground. I left the cart at the register and left. That monday I took the same add to work and asked if I was wrong. Nearly everyone at work said it was poorly written and it could go either way. One guy used to work retail said this was a normal game to write sale ads to get you to come in but either the exact item was the only one of that style that they had and you were expected to buy one not on sale or the writing was such that most of the tools you came in for were not within the sale guidlines and they would sell you something not on sale so you would not leave empty handed.

WheelyKing says:

The tires that are non pneumatic are covered under the coupon and those are a bit expansive but 25% off of those is a good deal.
