yes I miss the double coupons. a few years ago, a local chain doubled coupons up to 1.00 with a limit of 3 for each coupon, plus on tuesday they offered a 10 percent discount for seniors, their system took the discount off the full price, so if something was on sale, it still discounted at the full price, plus I would hit the recycle bin and score many newspaper inserts, I recall one time finding pilsbury cake and brownie mix coupons 1.00 off on 2, they were on sale for 1.00, I found over 30 coupons, so I used all of them and supplied a friend of the family with cake mixes for their cake decorating business, I now utilize the digital coupons with Kroger, Albertsons, and CVS,
Great video
Hi Nick, you're teaching skills are increasing. They were already good but they're even better. I really enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you. I feel like this tutorial gives others confidence in becoming digital couponers
Thanks Nick! Great info and tips! π. My newspapers in my area of Michigan are now $4 bucks! Usually my hubby can get one free at his work, but I never buy them anymore. And sadly, my Kroger wonβt accept home printed coupons, so thank goodness for all of our digitals and rebate apps!! Have an awesome day!
I've used pq fairy in the past, got pqs for free, then bought papers at FD or DT for $1, then got them for $.99 through kum n go convenience store app, then they went up to $1.99; still cheaper as our local paper went up few months ago from$3 to $4.49 a paper!! Sometimes get leftovers unsold papers on Monday for free- gas stations, etc. !!
Old school, prefer paper pqs, only really coupon at Walmart & DG- so do some digital!! Yep, times are definitely changing..
Big bummer about p&g!! My area has been getting jipped of alot of inserts last 2-3 months!! Guessing it's costing the people too much to put in pqs in the paper!!??π€ͺππππ€π€ͺπππΏπΏ
I live in Michigan….and we can get the Sunday paper at the dollar store for $1.25 Some dollar stores have a limit of 2 that you can buy…..some stores you can have as many as you want.
Honestly digital coupons are just as stressful as paper coupons. In my opinion because sometimes it doesn't come off and the cashier won't type it in for you. And they randomly disappear before the expiration date! And some of tge apps randomly deactivate your account! Couponing has got harder regardless
Thank you Nick, great info!
My Sunday papers are $5.50. It is absolutely crazy!!!!
Yes! We are senior citizens and live on a budget and you have helped me save so much more money!
Yes you have helped me to coupon and save more money, thank you!
I think it is much easier to couponing now! No binder no clipping
I loved mail in rebates in the 80βs! We didnβt have anything online.
I donβt get the paper or buy coupons or inserts
One of the First Ladies that started that extreme couponing started here in Maine, Christy! Many years ago! I went to many of her trainings! We were never allowed to use all those coupons in any store here in Maine!
I,live in Detroit,Michigan and I started couponing at 18 years old. It was in 1975 when Double and Triple Coupons began. Back π then Detroit had 5 supermarket chain stores. A&P,Chatham,Farmer Jack's,Great Scott!,offered Double Coupons up to and including $1.00. Then Kroger offered Triple Coupons up to and including a $1.00. I also remember when the Sunday Detroit Free Press Papers and there would be a Dozen Coupon inserts. The price of the Sunday Detroit Free Press is $3.49 now a days. Even back π then and there were rules on the Manufacturers Coupons that were to be followed by the customers. Using coupons has changed big time since the late 1970's,1980's and the 1990's. I am glad that I subscribed to your channel and couponing has changed big time. I miss the good old days of Double and Triple Coupons.
Great video! I just had a coworker ask me about couponing today because she knows Iβve been doing it for 20 years.
I need to do a better job utilizing digital and store card coupons. It could save more money. I will give it a try.
Thank you, Nick. Great information. For me with the rebate I do not have a cell phone. I do have the apps you mentioned but on my iPad. I hate sometimes that some of the rebates you need a cell phone. For instance this week on one of your video at Walmart for free sugar free candy. I canβt do it. Do you think thereβs a way on my IPad I could do these?
Sunday paper here is $6 π’
Also I never got the fetch or shopkick offer for the axe sooo Iβm jealous
Iβm so grateful for the many ways to save on groceries and household items each week. Thanks for all that you do!
My local newspaper has gone up to $5. I was lucky to find $5 worth of coupons to use! Digital saves time and money. Plus, it saves on trees π³. I've set up my husband's phone on my favorite apps for those special deals. Thank you for all your info and hard work!π
Darlin, thank you so very much for your fabulous videos!! You're awesome, and very much appreciated:) I was one of those extreme couponers! We had stores that would double, triple and had what they called Super Doubles every few months, where they would double $1.00 coupons and over a $1.00, would double up to $2.00. I had a recycle center I went to and got tons of free inserts, and that was when there were tons of coupons in the inserts. OH THE DAYS!!!! I still use the binder method for my coupons, it's the best! Happy saving!!
ππβ€ Nick awesome video. So enjoy your hard work to help us save $$$$
I buy inserts from Dollar Tree for $1.25 each.
Fantastic video and great explanations!! Thank you!
