There’s a weird feeling when we walk in and see NAME BRAND products and half the price… how does that even happen? Well, it’s interesting. Today I get a chance to go into the store and break it down for you. The main reason is due to the fact the outlet stores are selling OLD product. Now, it’s not so old that it’s bad for you, it just expires sooner than in the initial stores, so it can be marked down to help clear out inventory without too much of a loss. Did you know this? Let me know in the comments if you shop at discount stores like this!

I love how he's acting like this is a new thing. Liquidators have been around for thousands of years.

@daygo4 says:

I worked at grocery outlet for a good year. First and only job during HS. Very good times.

@dasanyonepayattention says:

When the shit hits the fan, this will last about 24 hours

@KimKemp-p4e says:

WE need to do one of these and that is make some laws and have the dollar stores be 5 cents or ten cents or so. I am hearing the making it 5 cents and down. NO bogos or bundles. BUT people have lots of thing they want to get rid of to reputable place in a big name. FOR REAL and we can say any place with the name BUDGET or discount especially the CLOVER payments sales system.

@Sarian4W-i2q says:

Milk is still good for about a week after the swll by date. Beats fillinland fill.

@claudialeon2223 says:

Expiration dates are nothing more than a suggestion on dry goods. The quality might go down a bit but won’t kill you. Now on meats and dairy you can’t really hide spoilage, it’s accompanied by smell and texture.

@GreyhairedOlddude says:

Expired date is out of control wake up folks

@cheshire_skatkat9093 says:

The food wont LAST in my house to the exp date so who cares? 😂

@feleciaclemons5074 says:

Okay… So?

@missykm7290 says:

It's a shame they're closed in a lot of stores

@my-spinning-wheel says:

Grocery Outlet is the greatest establishment in the corporate world

@jhiped91 says:

Chips can’t go bad unless opened right?

@geznicks says:

Only in America is a week seen as short life for milk. How much shit must be in American milk lol.

Also, crisps (which you gayboys call chips) it's a best before date, they'll still be fine in 6 months or more

@TheArtmann says:

Who the fuck cares? A deal's a deal. Buy, consume, and buy again. Don't shelf it for two months.

@WadeParker-q5d says:

That's why they call it gross out!
I'm sick of getting crap that tastes like garbage! Canned foods that taste like metal and the people… OMG the people

@ClintUdy says:

With the exception of baby food, the experation is a "best by" date, as in the final date the company will guarantee the product quality.
Milk, meat, dairy type items have a sell by date, which is the last day to guarantee a minimum of 5 days. With meats, there is a use/freeze by date which ensures that spoilage does not occur.

Love this store

@StevieinSF says:

I enjoy shopping at Grocery Outlet, because I save money! They're not as dumpy looking as they were say 10 years ago. Yes, very aware the merchandise is old or close out.

@sysconic says:

LMAO "this small bag of chips you'll eat in a day expire in just two weeks!”
Sounds great to me!

@djchino774 says:

You shouldn't trust milk that doesn't go bad quickly

@madmax8620 says:

Hahaaha LIES.
THEY COST MORE than everyone else!

@ChrisCaledon says:

I've tried to shop in an Outlet, but find it's mostly junk food and low quality stuff.
