I worked at BestBuy 02. My experience was not great. The employee discount was amazing but I did not enjoy my time there. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Working at best buy is like working in a fast food restaurant. It's a stepping stone, you need to set your sights a little higher. But I'm glad they are not a restaurant, they would be poisoning people right and left.

Hattori Hanzo says:

Best buy is full of nerds and weirdos.

Vile • says:

Thing I hate about best buy is the employees themself, you have department "experts" that can't answer the most basic questions you have for them, for example I walk into the ganing/PC department and want to know which PC has 3200MHZ ram, or which one has z370-z390 motherboards, things that the description on the box doesn't inform you of, and these people look at me like I'm an alien, I don't blame the people working in these departments for not knowing about any of these things, but why doesn't best buy take any of this info consideration when hiring people? I applied and got rejected 3 times, so just for shits and giggles I went in to consult with that department specialist that got the job, and every single question I had was drawn out while he searched google for the answers, and even gave me blatantly incorrect answers due to his lack of knowledge, it's because they just want people who can shove as much merchandise in your bag as possible, they couldn't care less about how effective these people are at assisting customers with questions or problems. Such a sad company.

Tiosh says:

8 year BB vet. I personally think that only 10% of employees stay at BB. It's a revolving door and that's not exactly a bad thing because that's how it was for me. I only stayed while I was in university and I think about 50% of the workers are in that same boat. The other 50% of that 90% figure I gave move on to better paying jobs (or fired for one reason or another). That's the ironic thing about BB, you can get so good at the job that you can translate that skill to a better paying job out there which is why most quit. That means the 10% stay because it's a nice place to work.

Great job for just out of high school. Get in, soak up the exp, and get out.

Truth B Told says:

The points as a reward for employees is clever, eventually the money is being returned to the company when you use the points.

Michael Huebner says:

Target is paying $15 per hour to all employees in 2020.  No sales targets to hit either.  Best Buy needs to pay commission to keep their best sales people.
