JAYZUPP says:

I really need to get into batch cooking and freezing. I cook all the time and it can get annoying when you're really hungry :p gotta avoid getting to-go food

Laddie says:

Thank you for this video! It's so inspiring and so happy you also touched on the fact that this process helps creating a smaller carbon footprint.

Candi Cane says:

I get anxiety with coupons too!! I do great without all that!!!

Ms. Lee says:

@ Slay This Debt just discovered this channel. I defiantly subscribed to your channel. Thanks for all the grocery money savings tips. I started tracking my spending. I am so surprised how much I spend in a month on groceries.

I love aldi!!! Helps me save so much!!

Judy Martius says:

I feed a family of 4 (2 teenage boys) for $250-$275. Make everything from scratch including desserts . I allow $10 a day.

Rhea Morales says:

What a happy video with many tried, true, timeless ideas to save money on food! Shop for the best prices, avoid overpriced convenience foods/eating out, minimize food waste by preparing foods your family enjoys and freeze leftovers, grow your own produce. We don't have Aldi stores here in Arizona, but it's possible to save money with loss leaders, clearance items, and Borderlands Foodbank's Produce on Wheels With out Waste.

Holly B says:

How do you keep critters from eating your garden? Ground hogs always eat anything I try to grow.

girl interrupted says:

At one time I wanted to coupon, but after viewing a number of videos on it, I decided against it. I would view people's stockpiles and it would make me anxious. As a single woman, I can't justify having a dozen laundry detergents and fabric softners. I just purchase the family size of each and I'm good for at least three months.

ETA: I love leftovers too! You're right, some dishes do taste better the next day. Example, I love baked pasta dishes. I often find they taste better the second and third day. I only make one pasta dish a month because of this. Which doesn't bother me at all because I make my favorite or try something new.

Dezeri Smith says:

Hey pretty girl can you show us how you relax and pamper yourself on a frugal budget, like skin, hair, and nails?

Inoudidntask4my2cent says:

Thanks for sharing. I learned about this channel from myownIDENTITY channel and they both are really good.

Cherie Panter says:

how fabulous is that garden!

Bonnie M says:

Just found your channel. Excellent tips for everyone. And I love the garden. Mine garden is about 1500 sq feet this year.

Lisa Burmood says:

You are so cute. I can not get into the coupon thing, gives me anxiety also. Great info. I have found that by making what I know my family loves instead of the newest pinterest recipe I waste less, and save more. Yay for frugal!

Texas Jones says:

GREAT garden. Nice job!

Laurie Christine says:

One more no waste thing I do is to take my veggie scraps (ends of carrots, onion peels, etc.) and put them in gallon size baggies in the freezer. When I have a few bags I put them in a roaster and make my own vegetable stock (save meat, fat and bone scraps for meat stock) and then can it. Basically it's free.

K H-C says:

I adore Aldi, but all the 'local' ones are 45+ minutes away. I go every 3 weeks or so to grab basics and snacks for the kiddos, and am always amazed how much I get for how little.

K H-C says:

As a stockpiler, both for financial and for emergency preparedness, I really struggle with pantry challenges because a) I hate missing the big bargains while I've cut that budget waaay back and b) I get nervous we will eat everything down only to have something happen where hey, we really could have used all that food. (I should note, I am not one of those folks with months of food on hand, probably 3-6 weeks of stuff, lots of it rice, legumes, oats, pasta). I have cut back my budget a bit the last few weeks, really going to try to get serious about it for the month of April, eat down some of this excess and pad that wallet.

Thank you for a well-considered, helpful video with none of the craziness some embrace on this subject!

Denise Stathatos says:

I plant tomatoes in pots in my backyard every summer. Nothing like picking a tomato from the plants in the backyard.

Jazcamrob says:

I agree Aldi is amazing. I have both, and Aldi and LIDL in my shopping center.

Bounce Back says:

I agree totally…..Aldi helped me cut my grocery bills in half! I have found everything I could ever want there. I am single and my Aldi bill is about $50 to $100 per month. And I eat very well😁 Lots of variety and organic whole foods.

Joyce Gonzales says:

I don’t count eating out in my food budget. I have a category for entertainment, and the few times we go out it’s under entertainment. In my food budget I don’t include paper good or cleaners, I put that in a household misc cataggory. Aldi seems to hate NN. We don’t have one.

Messy with a Plan says:

These are great tips. I love ALDI and freezing food too!

Ashlee Daniel says:

Tried batch cooking this past Sunday. Game Changer. I have more time during the week. Less dishes and I’m not worrying about making sure there’s something for lunches and dinners.
