Paper and wood honestly doesn't hurt the environment that much. Forests grow back once timbered, and trees are replanted all the time. Plastic on the other hand….. ooooff

With the pre-cut fruit thing: Not only is it more expensive but when they’re cutting the fruit ahead of time, they have to put preservatives in there. And it makes the fruit taste gross, imo

In Brazil it’s not that safe to drink water from the tap, so we’re always buying gallons of mineral water. I asked my dad if it wouldn’t be better if we bought a water filter/purifier instead and he’s gonna look into it. Somethings we do are so common that we don’t even question it.

I understand the cutting cost of food by buying cheaper brands and non organic foods I totally agree if your on a major budget but you also have to read ingredients because some of the those “non brands” even “name brands” have very harmful ingredients for your body .. remember the cheaper the product the cruddier for your body. They cut cost on there products by using cheaper ingredients.

Rama Sivamani says:

I do buy paper plates and cups but don't use them on a regular basis. For some events or gatherings at our house if I have a lot of people over I don't want to deal with washing 30+ plates. These are only for large events where I have more than 20 people over. If you host a BBQ or a backyard luncheon and you invite all your neighbors over paper plates and cups can be useful.

Tom says:
