Ok these hacks are great!!!! But I just recently found out ( I did my research before hand like crazy because I really don't wanna be turned down or away I feel so embarrassed if that was to happen!!! All the info I had said as long as the product wasn't used up like crazy you can return anything at any time well here's my story with that) I purchased two UD palettes in November of 2016. I used one palette twice and the other once so I thought Because I truly didn't like them I would take them back ( something in my gut told me it wouldn't be so easy so I was stressing out so bad before I went in, and I went to my local Sephora were I've spent crazy money) I set my bag up at the counter and thought I would at least start the process before I shopped and picked up the items I was gonna exchange for ( trying to save myself the embarrassing moment of being turned down ) everything seemed fine so I did shop for my items then got to the counter the lady that took my bag looked at the date and didn't even look at the Palettes or condition and told me there was no way she could exchange or do anything with it because the purchase was back in Nov , I clearly looked like a deer caught in the head lights I thought my re search said this was ok!! So the manager walked up and stepped in and started over looking the products and asking me why I didn't like them or if they were broken etc so I explained I just didn't like them and I had only used them twice , I also apologized and told her I thought it would be ok etc…. she told me this " after a 3 month period they CAN do an exchange BUT only if the Employee approves it and that they don't have to take anything after that 3 month time etc " so at this point I thought I made this trip for nothing But after the manager looked over my account and saw the money I've spent there she actually in the end made the exchange for me but only after I almost had a heart attack getting turned down so at that point I was just seriously grateful but the first employee was NOT happy about the managers choice to do the exchange so if it hadn't of been for her I would have been turned away completely.
I will never try that again but I'm just not good in those situations at all I get so uncomfortable!
Oh I will add that I looked over the receipt and nowhere on it did it say anything about a 3 month period for an exchange policy.

I work at Sephora & honestly I don't mind at all making samples> after all I was once a client!. Ladies just be straight forward ask for your samples and please don't feel embarrassed there is no shame into sampling something 💋

Sephoras return policy has changed. You could only return products as long as you haven't used more than 25% of the product you purchased. You as well now need a receipt or have proof of purchase, and that could be from you points card or card you paid with, but you do need proof of purchase.
