I give up on $5/$25 deals! I've done it 6 different times, I sat up half the night doing scenarios for things I wanted and needed, trying to get the least out of pocket, I did 2 today, one should have been just over $3, the other just under $5. But the $@+-++#! Store Here, always, and I mean ALWAYS, had something I'm trying to use in my scenario, out of stock, they always conveniently either don't have them, or don't sell them! Plus, today, only $5 came off my first total when I had $13 in digitals clipped for the items in my scenario, I ended up paying $15 for that one, ( because it was stuff I needed) the second one only $8 came off out of $14 of clipped digital! Had to take off the Suave shamp/cond cuz the $5 off 2 wouldn't attach on one of my #'s. It happens, every single time I shop at DG! If I do decide to do $5/$25, it won't be with digitals any more! If I can, I'll use paper!! grrrr!! Hope ya'll had better luck! BTW, I don't buy inserts, because I won't use all the coupons in them, so I just order coupons already clipped, then I can order 4 of each of what I want and I'm not wasting money on coupons I won't use. 😉It's just what works for me😉.

Omg!!! Whatta exprience! Grrrrrrrrr!Guy assures me that I met the threshold and the $5 off $25 came off, nope! Missed it by $1! After all discounts!!! Not before….The Bogo Hersheys and the $.65 coupon-" not allowed in the same transaction at THIS location". The original cashier was highly perturbed about my having three separate transactions to begin with and I told him it will make it easier. He saw I had three $5 off $25 AND fully intended on using them.(side note- when I went back to return something that I did not want to pay full price on, a gentleman, likely from a church or something, was using an endless amount of the $5 off $25 coupons on Pepsi's….no problems…I've seen him before, they never have trouble ringing him up..lol..) Out of 16 trays ( all they had)of Bella dog food, only $2.50 came off, on another very long receipt. I saw the cashier I like who is good at coupons herself but she had been on break as it came to my turn…she's smart enough, calm and doesn't loose her sh.t the moment she see's a couple of coupons in someones hand…literally 2-3 per transaction….daaaaannnggg!I coulda REALLY used that $5 off $25 and the $5 coupon on the Bella dog food! I get exhausted by their nonsenses at that store. I might try again on Friday or Saturday next week or just have the Bella in my cart and be done with it. Another side note, the Pedigree variety pack pouches(8 pouches for $4) have a "Bogo free" peely on them, at least at THIS location…ha ha ha….grrr..ok….my dog actually liked them and the cats always like the Temptations treats and they too had a $2 peely on the big 16oz containers. They only have them on the chicken and catnip flavors, again…AT THIS LOCATION…LOL Great rest of the weekend to everybody and Christa-THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was searching for this dang video and went to dollar general and made my own scenario..I felt so unprepared…. manager was getting frustrated at me…i was getting frustrated…my bf was with me, he was getting frustrated……, but…

I had to make some substitutions but still only paid $6 for $30 of products. The only hang up was when I gave the cashier my money to pay and he punched the amount in, my total jumped up $5 and the manager tried to tell me it was because I had some free items which made my $5 of $25 coupon unusable even though it was scanned and accepted. He ended up changing the price so my total would be what it was.

I did a haul with all dog food. Scanned my 5 off 25 first then did my digitals. I could see my total of 8.55 after all coupons but the cashier was seeing a higher total on his end. After trying a few different things I just said heck with it I’ll just pay the higher price. After looking at my receipt I figured out that my 5 off 25 didn’t come off. It was there then went away. He said he’d been having register issues all day. My dogs needed food so…. pretty frustrating though.

All of the stores in my area say they have been told not to accept coupons on the $1 aisle even though they scan. it's been like that since December. Too bad. It was sweet for awhile there!
