Have you thought about storing ANYTHING in an Air Tight Container with a sealable lid made out of natural rubber (seal) and fill it with an Inert gas such as
Nitrogen or
Argon.
No organism or bacterium can live or survive in that Atmosphere.
So, anything that can or will spoil in that Atmosphere, WON'T ! ! !
It does need to be stored at or about the same Temperature that we are most Comfortable with.

I've watched a lot of these but I never hear about canned potatoes. Potatoes are so good for potassium and vitamin C. Do you think canned potatoes would last? How about dried potatoes you add water to to make mashed?

Walmart is your best friend with canned foods.
Less than $200 I bought enough food to get me through 2-3 months.
And I bought a cheap sack of Vietnamese rice from Costco. $12. (vacuum sealed in 1 pound bags)

I've noticed more people report long term can compromise with off brand spam than the real stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if the canning process at the spam factory is held to a higher standard/tolerance.

Hi not sure if anyone is still there for advice but I have been prepping for me & my dogs.I have done well but still I have improve & also need to knock down my portion size too.Canned Tuna steak in (England) I have been buying it in sunflower oil as I’m not too keen on brine.What is the best for keeping longer oil,brine or spring water ? Also I have never tasted potatoes out of the can,are they good ?I have been storing what I like to eat & will switch out but unsure about potatoes lol 👍🏻
