Good information on Costco pricing. I didn’t know that. Actually, I guess I had heard it before, but I can’t remember all that. And I’m not gonna buy something just because it’s discontinued or Costco is discounted the price by a quarter. 😁👍😘
What?? Why do complicated? I think it should be like the Netherlands where no one pays the actual cents in cash except prices ending with 0 and 5 cents. Pennies are useless so why bother them? Just round up to the nearest 0 or 5 and pay that price. Take advantage of it like filling up at the petrol station up to 2 or 7 cent. You’ll get 2 cents of fuel for free!!

That's not true regarding the .99 price. Regular price items sell out (too), and when you go back and it's not there…..well, you get the point. .97 pricing is the best deal in Costco. It's not on sale, it's being discontinued, and has been in the warehouse too long, and/or it's a seasonal item that has to be moved.Manufactures special are usually in the flyer for the month. The star or asterisk doesn't mean it won't be restocked. It means it has to move, and may, and probably will come back. The .00 is a not a manager's special. Managers don't make those decisions, corporate does. This guy sounds convincing, but he isn't, actually! I work for Costco. If you see it, want or need it, buy it. I can't tell you how many members tell me "I was going to buy it last week, but…."……Costco works on a very small profit margin, so, just about everything is a "deal". Some are price losers, like the chicken, and most items in the food court (as examples). Costco's profit comes from membership fees (about 85-90%). Plus, and of course the return policy is unmatched anywhere!!
