I contacted P&G about this. They didn’t give me a clear answer on what happens. They just told me they set up limits to avoid people from saving on the same product.
P&G Statement
“We're grateful you've taken the time to reach out to us. We're sorry you're having a hard time with our coupon limitations, and we can understand your frustrations. With some P&G coupons, you're able to purchase more than one product and redeem more than one identical coupon in a single trip, and with others, you cannot. Our current coupons state either "Limit of 2 identical coupons per household per day" or "Limit of 1 identical coupon per household per day". This is to protect average consumers trying to maximize their budget. Also, please be aware that many retailers already have established limits on coupon redemption with their store. Let us know if you have any other questions, we appreciate you being a part of the P&G family ”

Pam Hocker says:

HI OVC, I totally agree with you about the Renzuits. That is a gray area and you were purchasing it for your household and your uncle and that's two different households. You do a lot of shopping for your family and they gave you their permission to purchase the items. I did read Christa Coupons comments and I agree with her about the manufacture and the store will get their money. Just like Dollar Tree when you use a high value coupon and they key in $1.00. They are getting full credit for the a coupon that may be $3.00 and key in $1.00, since Dollar Tree doesn't give overage. One problem is when you call coupon manufacture customer service and they tell you, they stand by the store coupon policy, even though there's a limit on the coupon. When the manufacturing decided to make the limits on the coupons, they were trying to stop the misuse of coupons. But in the long run they were hurting honest people like you and me. I do purchase items for other households and I do donate. I feel they were listening to the employees instead of the consumers. The Kroger stores I have visited do not read every coupon unless it beeps, then they will push it through. I know there's one cashier at the self checkout will read every coupon and he doesn't care how busy he is. When I see him, I go the other way. I have a feeling he doesn't like coupons.lol!! I'm proud of you for putting out this video and thank you so much.

Gina Spatola says:

Rite aid does post coupons where does that fall into? I've done it maybe 3 times.

Paradigm Rouge says:

I'm in the camp that hates the tiny small print and confusing limits that cashiers don't understand. It's gotten too complicated. If you're buying for multiple households and/or donating, it should be more relaxed.

Sara Nocole says:

While you may be honest about where the product will be going .. not everyone will.. people can always use that as an excuse 🙁

Lisa Marie says:

I think to many people are concerned with other people's business.
Do what works for you and your family.
Couponing is so different for each individual

Rebecca Cross says:

I think as long as in your heart what you are doing is ethical its ethical.
My personal top pet peeve is:
People who use multiple accounts to clear the shelves. When I see multiple hauls from people that have like 50 of an item that went to just their families benefit. Especially on things like laundry detergent, baby wipes, diapers, and food products. To me when you do that you just prevented 9 other families to benefit from the savings. Like my husband knows if something is not on sale I wont buy it. Sometimes my kids get kinda torn when they know their favorite cereal was on sale, wanted to get it and and an hour after the sale begun theres none left. I have six kids and 8 in our household so I feel like if I can make the limits work most other families can too. I still have a small stock pile for personal items but my budget requires me to scout sale prices for our groceries, to be able to survive without foodstamps..

Redsgal21 Cinci says:

They are already putting stricter limits on coupons and lowering dollar amounts. I personally think it’s crazy that some people don’t think it’ll get worse or that any type of paper coupons won’t eventually just go away if people continue to not follow the rules. One manager I spoke to said he thinks some stores will eventually go to all digital because it saves on their labor and it prevents the scammers. 🤷‍♀️ As someone who’s disabled I don’t think you did anything wrong because your intentions were right. However, if the manager said you couldn’t then I would have just put it back. I can’t stand when some YouTube people try to go over the limit and then on top of that get rude with the cashiers when they point out the limits.

Stephanie S says:

As long as the store can show they had the item in inventory then they get reimbursed. They do not track trips or numbers used. I used to send in coupons for a small drug store. That was how it worked then.

tom storm says:

Oh and just to prove I am not judging or being a jerk with my first comment………….I used 5 dawn coupons Saturday on the mega event for the dawn dish soap. .75 cents of each. Over P and G limit but within Kroger limit. I did not realize til today when I was gonna do it again the coupons had already expired…………way before Saturday when I used them. Kroger took them anyway……….so…….I am not a damn saint by any means. And just to clarify…….I knew I was using over P and G limits……..but I did not realize they were expired……….that was an honest mistake that I made. BUT Kroger took them…….SO…………IDK?

tom storm says:

Hey buddy. I am not a judge or a coupon police guy at all. But since you ask………….and if you want to be technical and serious about it…………the coupon did say one………grey I know since you are buying for separate household. But you are paying as one person in one transaction. But…….Also……..if you read the fine print in the rebate apps it says the rebate cannot be combined with coupons, or other rebates, etc………..so technically it is not proper or right. Just my opinion and I am guilty as anyone else here and am by no means judging. Just giving my honest opinion………SINCE you ask for honest opinions………..for what it is worth.

Mrs V Jordan says:

I feel like your fine.. Thanks for helping your family.. Everybody needs someone like you in their family. I enjoy helping others..
I shop for my home, and my church.

Ingrid St Pierre says:

ivett aboytes says:

I went to Kroger today and everything went well till my total hit $5.59 oop, I was doing the mega event with 20 items and my sister was with me. They stated I was not allowed to purchase due to my total. They told me that I would only be able to take all 20 items but they would not take all 5 of my coupons for the buy 5 save 5 they would only take 1 for each 5 items. They stated we where not paying for anything and due to this they would not honor my total.

cool yess says:

I shop for my mom because she has zero clue about coupons and how they work. But I go by the coupon and what it states. You can still get a good deal with out breaking the rules. 👌👍

dreww04 says:

Coupon fraud is more than just altering or duplicating coupons. Any use of a coupon, intentional or not, in a manner that is not stated in the verbiage can constitute fraud. Even these youtubers who promote 'glitches' with digital coupons. It's exploiting the system for your own personal gain and just because it goes through doesn't make it okay. Where I work we deal with probationers who've committed theft and we've seen many forms of it, including coupon fraud. Some say they don't believe they were doing anything wrong by exploiting (evidently they were if they're here). There's a lot of gray area when it comes to maximum use of coupons but by default unless a store specifies or a coupon specifies differently, I don't ever use more than 4.

Kayla McCloud says:

My Rite Aid has a limit of 7 like coupons per transaction. My Kroger does allow 5 like coupons regardless as well. Now there is another town near me that their rite aid is 4 and their Kroger is 5 unless stated diff on the coupon and they only take 2 like IP even if there isn’t a limit! I buy for several households as well so it’s really tough!

Zoogomoogo says:

I personally go off of the smaller number just to be safe

Christa Coupons says:

Idk if that’s true. Dg tells me they basically send in proof that we purchased the correct product to the manufacturer and if they accept the wrong coupon the store looses money, not the manufacturer. Sorry for all the comments haha

Christa Coupons says:

Fraud is altering or recreating a coupon. People are tossing around the word fraud as if it’s not serious. Makes the word loose some of its weight. I don’t believe they will stop giving us coupons. I think eventually we will no longer have paper coupons though.

Christa Coupons says:

I think the problem with this whole coupon fraud situation is there is no where for us to go for accurate information. Even the CIC is very bias and not actually giving facts.

Christa Coupons says:

The store has to get their money back from the manufacturer so it’s on the store. So what about when Kroger used to double coupons. Kroger is encouraging fraud lol no. Just my opinion I’m not far enough in the videos to hear yours.
