I just wanted to make sure of this> If you do the transaction in order, shouldn't the Items stay full price till step 4. (after the $5 I Savings)? Shouldn't you just have to add 55 cent to be able to use your 3 off 15? Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I'm new to this and I have learned A LOT from you. Love your scenarios!!! 🙂

I had a cashier at my local dg tell me she wasnt going to scan my insert coupons because i had used my 3 of 15. I am so upset with her and then she tried to keep my coupons. I called and left a message with the district manager but now return call yet. Im somewhat new to couponing at dg and have yet to have a transaction go as it should. frustrated

I live in Alabama and I guess they didn't run the $5 instant savings deal last week on these items. I checked 3 stores and no signs anywhere. Also, I've been having major issues with the gain deals. I love your breakdowns. I screenshot then all and made sure I put in my store prices, then calculated subtotal prior to getting to the register. It's always much more than it should be, like my total comes out to be twenty something dollars, even on a Saturday. I've used all my $5 off $25 Gain discounts on our accounts at this point. I have an account, my husband, & my daughter all have one. Tax in AL is 10%, but even the subtotal is always high. Yesterday, I used my last $5 off $25 Gain at a different store and explained to the cashier what was happening. I gave her a $3 off $15 to help the subtotal after telling her I had one. She was the manager. This took my subtotal higher. She manually put in discounts to get my subtotal to $13 and some change, which was still $1 more than it should have been, but I was tired of the situation, plus I had my 3 year old with me. I paid it, thanked her, and on the way out, she assured me they would eventually fix the issue. This was the 2nd time I'd tried this store with this manager.

I tried this, but my dollar General only had the 77 oz and the 139 oz downy. Not the 90 oz so they wouldn't do the deal.
