Defective product and horrible customer service from Skechers and Shoebuy
This video was made to show both Skechers and Shoebuy the quality of the merchandise they are producing and selling. Defective product is Skechers Hydee Gimme Wicked wedge sneaker.
My daughter wore these for only two months, 3x week for PE, and after this short period of time they developed a hole in the sole. The sole has a hidden wedge in it, and it apparently was constructed improperly. The sole is completely hollow where the wedge is, and the sole has lifted up on the inside of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe has an open gaping hole in it.
We first contacted Skechers who had us take photos of the shoe and email a copy of our receipt. We did that, and never heard back from them. When we tried to contact the person (Maria Ro) who gave us her email address, they told us they had no way of reaching her and then told us to mail the shoes in to them (on OUR dime, even though it was THEIR shoes that were defective!)
Then we contacted Shoebuy, who had us mail in the shoes. They sent them back stating this was "normal wear and tear". Sorry Shoebuy, this isn't normal wear and tear. The rest of the shoe shows normal wear, but the sole is clearly defective, improperly made. Shoes don't normally wear out in this fashion.
Neither company has stood by their products and we will never shop at either store again. There are way too many internet retailers out there with excellent customer service, who are aware that excellent customer service = repeat business. With this transaction, both Skechers and Shoebuy have lost a customer for life, and don't worry, we will spread the news about the horrible customer service we have received.

My daughter's shoes had holes in front after only a couple of weeks wearing them and I contacted Skechers and they got back to me 6 weeks later to tell me I have to send them to them and they will inspect them. This is ridiculous.
did they ever fix your issue? I am actually calling sketchers now because I bought my son's shoes and not even a month later the Velcro came off so he has no way to wear the shoe and the sole has come away from the shoe. sucks because sketchers ain't cheap, and my son loved the store and the comfort of the shoe. I won't ever buy shoes there again.
