Our absolute favorite restaurant in the area is the Bonefish Grill here in Northern Virginia. Today, we enjoyed a nice keto lunch there, and they were kind enough to let us film this week’s update on my 30 Day Keto Reset.

I find eating out very easy at diners, Italian restaurants, and even Chipotle. No bread on the table, substitute potatoes, rice or pasta with vegetables or extra salad, no dessert. And I often take leftovers home. Bonefish and other fish restaurants should be easy for those of us who love fish. And we have to learn to eat out, or at parties, weddings, etc.

Hey Dots, I think it's a good idea to go out and not be strict on your lifestyle. It wont affect you only if you bounce back to your lifestyle. Just remember you only got one life and sometime we need that break and enjoy it with our love ones. 💗

I think tracking is important while losing while losing. I tracked a few months after I reached my goal. Now I just tract my waistline every week or two. The scale and I don't speak. I prefer the measuring tape method. If my waistline gets above a certain point I will go back to tracking all my intake again. I haven't tracked in over 2 years now. I am actually more than an inch below my oh crap set point. I also spend more time on my physical 'look'. I like being pretty. I think my husband appreciates it too! Good luck Dot.

Hey there Dot,,really nice discussion video today. Everyone needs a meal out. I do it all the time. I just make really smart choices. Thus far I haven't gained a pound back so I must be doing something right. But I'm very dedicated to this lifestyle 100 percent. But you cant limit yourself to the point of saying I'm never eating out,,just limit and make smart food choices when you do. Everyone needs a meal that they dont prepare themselves. Going out and getting a meal just makes life better. You've got this whether u eat out or at home. You've done it before and there's no doubt you can do it again. I have full faith in you. This is the first so called diet that I'm not starving on. It's the first time I've lost weight or held my weight where I could still fix myself a desert and not blow my whole day. I'm sure it's been the same for you.
You look really nice in your pretty blue top. You have come so far and have so much to be proud of,,but please dont limit yourself too much for that can cause crashes too. Why not let yourself have some berries,,or one keto dessert a week,,maybe a mug muffin or cake where it's very small quantity. I think that's another reason people fall short or fail sometimes. They go into this being too strict on themselves.
I myself put my makeup on every day. It just makes me feel better about myself. You will never catch me without it unless maybe I am sick,,then I have to be really sick.
I know you've been in this lifestyle alot longer than me, but I'm feeling more confident all the time in living the keto way. I'm going on eight months without any real sweets,real breads,sodas,or anything high in carbs sugars or starches. But I do allow myself the berries and whip cream every so often and I do bake keto desserts too all along. Being able to do that is why I can stay on the right path. But u got this Dot,,just take it one day at a time.. Hugs!

I'm really interested in these, because like you, I never did make up, or at least only sporadically, and the whole process seems overwhelming and complicated and "not worth the bother" to me.

You look so pretty Dot. I could not agree more. My mom use to always say, “ put some lipstick on”. I am 57 and can still hear her voice.
I have come to appreciate these words of wisdom over the years. There is a lot to be said for feeling good about ourselves. My husband was anticipating a stressful day today at work and I asked, “ what are you wearing?” I know that when I feel good about what I am wearing, etc. It can give me a lift; a sense of confidence I might not have otherwise had. It goes along with valuing ourselves. Being mindful about brings us joy and gives our life meaning. Spending time with someone we love, taking care of ourselves and our relationships. We nourish ourselves (mind, body and spirit) in so many ways. You continue to be such an inspiration to me. Thank you so much for all that you do.
