So, as usual this week’s shopping trip was at my local Giant Store. I live in Fairfax, VA, but Giants are all over the place, so you might have the same or at least similar deals where you are. Here is what I got and how I got it.

2 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios FREE!–They were on sale for 1.99 each, I had 2 coupons from BettyCrocker.com for .50 each that doubled. Giant had a load to card special for 1 off any 2 General Mills cereal. Than Saving Star had the same 1 off any 2 General Mills. Which made the total for both boxes zero. Plus these were some of the items needed to get the free milk.

2 boxes of Nature Valley Bars They were also on sale for 1.99 each, and I had a coupon for .50 when you got 2, and that doubled. Also both a Giant load to card and a Saving Star rebate, both for the .50 off when you bought 2. Total for 2 boxes, 1.98. These 2 boxes, combined with the cereal, got me the milk.

1 Gallon of milk FREE with purchase of any 4 participating items. My 4 were the 2 Honey Nut Cheerios and the 2 Nature Valley Granola Bars

1 Sargento Sweet Balanced Breaks Snacks, not the best deal, but I couldn’t resist because they are great to throw in my work lunch bag. On sale for 3.00, I had an Ibotta rebate for .75 and a 1 off coupon from the newspaper.

2 Muuna Cottage Cheese Singles (in peach) They were on sale for 4 for 5, otherwise known as 1.25 each. Giant was offering one for free on a load to card deal and I had a coupon for 1 off when you bought 2. The free one counted as part of the two, so both cups cost me a whopping total of a quarter.

3 boxes of Suddenly Salad FREE. This one was complicated only because it involved several separate discounts working together. They were on sale for 1.00 each. I had a coupon printed from coupons.com for .50 off of 2. That, of course, would double, but I had the same .50 off of 2 from Giant load to card and a Saving Star rebate. Those took care of two of the boxes. I also found a coupon on BettyCrocker.com for .50 off of 1 box. Since that would also double, I got another box for free. I couldn’t use it on the previous boxes, since I had the paper coupon already for the both of them, and you can’t use 2 manufacturer’s coupons for the same item.

4 boxes of Helpers (3 hamburger, one tuna) FREE also. They were also on sale for 1.00 each and these deals were pretty much identical to the suddenly salad ones, right down to the free box from BettyCrocker.com, just substitute .75 when you buy 3, instead of the .50 for 2.

2 pounds of Perdue chicken breasts- I checked out the Perdue chicken breasts, but the smallest package was over 8.00. Then I saw that some of them had the magical Manager’s Discount sticker on them. That meant they were nearing their sell by date. Although they were disqualified from the BOGO sale, they still turned into a better deal because my coupons still worked on them. A package of 8.67 was discounted to 3.46 and another package went down from 6.44 to 2.57. Since I had coupons for another dollar off each, it still beat the BOGO sale and they will go straight to the freezer until it’s time to cook, so no worry about spoiling.

1 package Oscar Mayer beef hot dogs- At first the sale didn’t look so great, but I took another look. The hot dogs were on sale for 3.50, but I had a Giant load to card for .75 and a coupon for any Oscar Mayer hot dog product for .55 (which doubled) from coupons.com. End price 1.65. Not bad from some good hot dogs, which will make a few good lunches with the baked beans in my stockpile.

1 Hormel Rev Wrap- FREE. Of course, I only got one, but it will get thrown into a lunch bag this week sometime. Each wrap sandwich was on sale for 1.50 and with a giant load to card for .50 and a coupon for 1.00, that took care of that price.

2 bags salad, FREE and .99. I actually got 2 bags, one Dole and one store brand. The Dole was 1.99 and I had a 1.00 coupon I got from the store magazine (called Savory) a couple months ago, but was still good until the end of this month. The Giant brand salad also was 1.99 but I had both a Giant load to card deal for 1.00 and a store coupon from a flyer in the front of the store, which technically made the bag a one penny moneymaker.

If you find anymore deals at Giant or at your local stores, please leave them in the comments !
