Hey! I had this lil kitty 🐈‍⬛ come in my life perhaps 5 months back. And iwas feeding it raw foods and i recently started giving him canned food like the one you wouldnt recommend necessarily. THANKS for putting me on with the info. And i will use ur referral this week!

Most grocery store meats are toxic because of what they do to it… ypu shouldn't trust it for ypurself let alone a cat… i know so many are on a limited income but those meats are gonna eventually cause illness and disease as well!

We have a 13 year old cat, and we recently have two kittens. I'm very interested in feeding them nutritious food but watched a different video on making homemade cat food and thought it was not for me. Then I saw your video on how to do homemade food without a grinder and it looks more doable. I just started researching the cost difference this morning, hit a speed bump as I cannot figure how to enter info on kittens on Hare (how much should they weigh as adults??) but as they near three months old I realize I don't have to do this today. Thank you for all your information and help.

Hi! What is the reason you don't feed whole prey primarily? Is it cost? 2 of my 3 cats prefer mice or quail to any other food (I have a friend who raises mice for reptiles, so I know the feed and how they are treated etc), so it's just so much easier for me to thaw whole mice or quails and feed with other meats and organs etc as variety / as I'm cooking with them. My third prefers canned food with some raw, but as soon as I started offering mice 2 of 3 cats didn't want anything else.

Thought so often about HT, but remain concerned about non-humane meat sources. When I emailed HT with questions on the topic, the reply was something kin to, “why’d you choose cats, then?” Turn off. Note: You are also discussing 10 lbs cats. Many people have cats above that weight. Most economical? Mixing quality commercial raw foods with mid-range wet and adding flash-fried gizzards for jaw and teeth cleaning action. I add taurine every other day and properly dose human grade fish oil to cat’s weight that’s been sourced from sardines and anchovies given mercury concerns. Bottom line is good cat food is expensive. The effort is a financial commitment, period. The best option is making the food, but the process is laborious. I need 1 pound a day for two cats. Not an inexpensive proposition.

I wish I could do raw feeding…

@leslieanneDC says:

The various levels of difficulty switching to raw is such a HUGE help and that it’s ok if we can’t jump straight to whole pray & homemade is soooo helpful! Doing the best with what we have and what we know.

Every month I look and see what I spend the most money on and try re adjust my budgets. I will say what spending on chewy and Petco was embarrassing but I was trying to find something for ibd cat I ended getting more upset they get out of stock of the food my cat was trying nothing working on top of that. My new budget is about 325 for 1 cat , 2 dogs medium size and 3 birds that food, cat litter ,vinegar for cleaning and etc.. Johnny food order is every 12 weeks , two dogs every 3 weeks (will adjust when we get a new freezer) 3 parakeets with planning on getting a 4th is 3 to 6 months depending on veggies I have left over in the fridge from my food. For March I have $110 left over in my math. I just have sit down and plan everything to a tee. This with doing Darwin's for 3 pets and not get everything in at the same time. Petco and chewy for dogs and a cat I was doing a 109 every 2 weeks for just food.

Great video. When Panda got sick, the vet was no help. Never asked about diet. I figured out she is allergic to chicken. That solved my raw or boiled chicken issue! I feed them raw ground beef, almost every day. A little Nulo beef & lamb wet food. I just purchased the trial size of TC Feline with beef liver. I am going to make a batch and try that. 93% lean sirloin beef is $6.99 a pound in southern California.

I still use my Samsung Galaxy Note 4…lol. I think I bought it in 2016. I am starting to want to improve my wardrobe, though.

I have to ask this, is your boyfriend as thrifty as you are?
