Cissy Lanier says:

Please share some of your recipes u eat for dinners. Also I use coupons to save money at the grocery stores when I can. I use them on sale items so I get double savings.Especially on detergent and cleaners. I love your channel. Have used many of the things I have learned from you guys .

valerie d says:

I love generic…and my GIANT food store has great generics but the prices at Giant generics are slowly increasing…I also try to shop sales! Great tips..

Diane Driza Hollis says:

Inflation is 7%.. not the increase on food alone, its 7% overall.. but I believe it's higher since housing is up, and energy costs are up

Heather White says:

With the cost of utilities going up, I find its cheaper to buy the pre cooked items… e.g. pre cooked rice for two in a pouch 35p (90 seconds in microwave), pre-baked jacket potatoes £3.50 for 8 (4 minutes in microwave), frozen mashed potatoes (2 minutes in microwave). All save time and gas.

Heather White says:

Love you guys. New subscriber. I've binged watched your channel for a few days now. Learnt a lot even though I live in the UK.

carolyn allen says:

what about coupons? do you use them? thoughts?

MyCup Overflows says:

We have 8 in our family, and the thrifty plan says we should spend almost $1700/mo for our ages/genders.
I don't think I've ever spent that much in one month.😱

Laundry Faerie says:

Those of you who are old hands at this will probably know it already, but for people who are adulting for the first time: if you change the kind of meat you buy, you may also have to change the recipe. A ground turkey meatloaf is going to come out very differently from a ground beef meatloaf, just to name one notorious example. The proteins cook differently and have to be handled a little differently. But if you can Google, you can find recipes that use whatever meat you purchased to best advantage.

Kimberli Sauer says:

Even when my 2 kids were at home, and at one point my daughter, son in law and my grandchild lived with us, making us a family of 6, I never and I mean never spent more than $600 a month on groceries. I dont know what people are buying, but that's crazy.

Diane Hamilton says:

Change your cuts of meat and use it as "flavor" instead of servings. Get a round roast on sale and ask the butcher to grind it for ground round or cut it up for stew. and save the fat pieces for salisbury or smothered steak with mushorooms.

Diane Hamilton says:

Meat sales also cycle. Keep a running record of what meats are on sale each week and you will know when it is going to be on sale again and can plan on buying it. Also, grocers "bid" on prices so if one store has it on sale one week, a different store will have it on sale the next week for the similar price. It is against the law to have all the lowest prices. For example, one store might have the cheapest chicken while the other store gets to have the cheapest eggs.

Diane Hamilton says:

Often after a holiday you can get the seasonal cycle items even cheaper after the sale!

Diane Hamilton says:

Bananas are not seasonal but spoil faster in the summer. Ask the store manager if you can buy the over ripe bananas or get them free and freeze them.

Diane Hamilton says:

Most of the time, Aldi's only has one brand of each item and it's cheaper than Aldi's which are made by their company. Quality is up.

Ruthy Hoskins says:
