In this video, we’ll go thru the 5 basic steps on How to Coupon. If you are interested in learning how to do extreme couponing for beginners, these are the basic foundational steps you need to understand first. Please see my follow up videos to learn more specific #couponing topics.
First, we’ll go thru the goal of couponing and what a stock up price is. Understanding the basic goals helps to put a framework around how couponing works. You’ll learn how you can never have to pay full price for common household essentials that we can score deals on.
Next, we will go over the two different types of coupons and what is coupon stacking. “How can I stack coupons?” is one of the most asked questions by coupon newbies.
We will then talk about the 3 common forms of coupons and where to find coupons for beginners. I’ll answer the common question “Where do I get coupons?”. I’ll also cover the 3 types of insert coupons: Smart Source, P&G, RetailMeNot inserts.
The fourth step to couponing for beginners is on how to find a deal. We’ll also briefly cover what a coupon matchup is.
The last step to this coupon 101 lesson is trying your first couponing deal. I’ll cover how to get started in doing your first couponing trip. Along with a few tips to build your confidence.

One thing to note: our Dollar Tree stores only get a very limited number of newspapers. Like this past Sunday there were only 7 papers available total. I was 3rd in line to get the papers, we all got 2 copies and there was one left when I grabbed mine. So get there and in line before the store opens.
