Ruby Tuesday was once an extremely popular chain restaurant, but they have been on a downward slope for quite some time, and every time they try something new, it only makes things worse. Their attempts at modern and funny marketing campaigns have just made viewers feel awkward and uncomfortable, and their various retools haven’t brought in many new customers. In addition, the restaurant was often found in shopping malls, but since there are fewer malls today, that convenient location doesn’t work for them anymore. Let’s take a look at the real reason why Ruby Tuesdays are disappearing all over the country.

Ruby Tuesday was 100% my favorite restaurant to eat. Every birthday dinner for me I would always choose Ruby Tuesday and when I heard they were shutting down basically every single one I was heartbroken

I Do The Most says:

I used to work at ruby Tuesday for over five years. I loved the menu and the staff but it eventually became apparent that something was amiss. Personal problems with the company aside, everyone hours started getting cut and the menu options were constantly getting reduced in portion sizes, due to the company's financial situation. I worked between 3 branches at the time but the one I was hired at was doing the best. 2 weeks after leaving ruby's, due to a lack of opportunity in advancement (with the exception of minimal wage increase), they suddenly started shutting down the restaurants in my area. 2 of them were closed down without prior notice. I felt soo bad for my coworkers because they were arriving to work, only to find that they had closed down permanently. No texts, no emails, no calls, just a pitiful note on the door saying, "to apply at a different branch. I have to give props to management though because alot of them were doing the best they could to help the employees, noting that they weren't notified ahead of time either. It's all unfortunate but that's my experience with Ruby Tuesday

I'm a millennial who eats out at least once a week. I stopped going to Ruby Tuesdays because the last meal I got was a porkchop that was more fat than porkchop. It was so gross. My mother( a boomer) also stopped going for the same reasons but with steak.(super over cooked) We both felt ripped off. Where we live there are so many other options.

I've always wondered, do they have to pay the Rolling Stones to use the name?

There are two HUGE misses on this video. One, their drink prices were too expensive. Two, their children's menu was very limited. So when you alienate drinkers and families, you will have a hard time keeping a restaurant open!!
