An Aldis finally opened near us during the pandemic and while most store were ignoring masks, Aldis was still requiring the useless masks, Strike one. Cart rental, bagging my own groceries and having to carry 30 bags around in my car, Strike 2. Then there were times when it was only self checkout and when done it would not take cash and is credit or debit card only. That was strike 3 and have not been back in a year and a half. Went back to Walmart, HyVee and Fareway.
