Welcome back to my channel. Today I want talk about how to save money on grocery. I think these tips will be helpful for college students, people who are moving out for the first time and also for people who are on budget. Let’s get started
First of all, the weekly advertisement is an important part. You can get these weekly advertisements from your local grocery stores. This will help you know which items are on sale.
If you are unable to get a hard-copy of these advertisements, you can go your local grocery stores' websites or apps. Most of the major store should have an app . Another option is you can download “Retale” app. You can see all the stores weekly advertise there.
Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind. Target and Wal-Mart has their sale every Sunday and ends on Saturday night. Other grocery stores such as Vons, Albertson, Food4Less, Smart and Final, will begin their sale every Wednesdays and end on Tuesday night. Keep this in mind when you plan to go grocery shopping so you won’t miss the deal
When I go grocery shopping, the first place I go is in 99 cents store. They have a variety of foods which includes dairy products, vegetable, fruits, bread. You can shop there to save money. Keep in mind that some products have a price higher than 99 cents so read the price before you purchase it. A downside to the dollar stores is that you won't be able to find a lot of organic foods there, but it's a great way to save if you're on a budget!
Besides from looking the sale in the advertise and shop at 99 cents store, you can use coupons or apps to help reducing the price. You can buy the Sunday Newspaper, they are loaded with coupons! You can keep those coupons booklet combine with the weekly sale and that will help reduce the price tremendously. In the beginning of every month, the Sunday newspaper has an extra booklet called P&G. That booklet has a lot of valuable coupons.
Some other great ways to find coupons are going online to coupons.com. or you can also download some coupon apps from your smart phone. Here are couple names of the apps you can download: Ibotta, Checkout 51, Saving Star. These apps have excellent extra discounts for a specific product or a specific brand.
