I tried doing the ebay coupon thing to see if it would work and didn't make any sales, so it didn't work for me, so I went back to basics,course I'm always experimenting with new ways of selling
I cleaned out my books and donated back five boxes full! Time to clean up the store
Etsy did the same to me. Closed the case and refunded without me even noticing because it was so fast. Etsy was the one that paid too, not me.
Why not just send coupons thru recent orders/buyers list?

I feel this would only work is you sold multiple of the same item. Otherwise the customer would need to scroll through 1000s of items to try to find something to get 10 percent off

LOL You know you are from Louisiana when just the spead of the Stickers printing is a Joyful Moment of Fun, LOL I have an open case with a Non Delivery from after Thanksgiving that was open the week of Christmas.
Etsy will only protect you if the buyer makes a claim against you. I lost an over $300 sale that was lost in the mail because I refunded the customer before they had to make a claim against me. Etsy would do nothing to help me. And to add insult they took all my money they paid me plus charged me for the customers shipping.
I am primarily a media seller and find that my 10% private coupons are rarely if ever used. On the other hand, my 10% public coupons have absolutely boosted my sales—easily an extra 3 or 4 sales a day all through the holidays.
Our mail goes to the distribution center in Shreveport. Delivery time has been absolutely horrible. I had orders stalled for over a week in Shreveport.
I wouldn't waste time creating a new coupon code every month. Use the same offer and code each month.
You can still send out ending dates to create a sense of urgency.
No big deal if a buyer uses the coupon well after the "fake" end date. Also, urge the sharing of the private coupon.
It's still a sale.

That's why I use public coupons.
All fresh, and repeat buyers see it in the search results. Almost every qualifying buyer uses the coupon. (99.8%)

I have sent regular buyers coupon codes via eBay orders page ‘send coupon’ link with long expiry dates, a couple use it every time. Other than that it just gets lost in the eBay inbox.
Our Post office here in north florida informed me the USPS will only scan pkg at drop off location and destination location now.. Not sure if that applies everywhere but thats the reason they gave me when i noticed things arent scanned
why print 800 coupons if they expire at end of the month? You must be planning on shipping out 20+ packages a day 🙂 which would be nice, but I think you'll have unused coupons. Maybe give the coupons more time before they expire. Because if you send out a package with the coupon on it on the 21st of January it may not get delivered before the coupon expires.
Lonnie and Candice, you said your coupons would be good for a month. Why do you have 2 months set up on your screen? I don't understand what you are doing, can you explain please?

You don't need to just lower prices on Lonnie's losers. If you have two year old listings you need to end/sell similar the listing AND edit the price. Old listings get stale and stop showing up in search.
Not sure why you would toss the bat though. One it shouldn't take 10 minutes to package, and two, bat buying season is just around the corner. End the listing, adjust the price and relist it. It's literally taking up no space where it's at. It will take you more time and effort to get it down and donate it than to leave it listed.
Is there a way to verify on an order using the coupon that the person actually purchased something from you within the past month? Otherwise, what's to stop them from sending the coupon code to 30 of their best friends?
