Susan Day says:

School vouchers are a great thing for children with disabilities.Ā The number of disabled children are growing at an incredible rateĀ . With vouchers parents can make sure their children are being educated and not just pushed through the system. We have teachers that have no clue how to teach these kids and don't really care to learn either. It's a nightmare for the kids and the parents.

Freewheelin' Franklin says:

This is republican propaganda bullshit. It doesn't explain that the reason a household is eligible to receive a voucher is because their kid isn't going to public school & hence that household gets the school tax portion of their property taxes returned in the form of a voucher & must be applied toward the private school of their choice. Now that household is no longer participating in the funding of public schools & can only be reasoned that it's because that household doesn't have a kid in that school system. What about me? I never had kids, I don't have a kid in that school system either why does my household have to participate in the funding of public schools when their household doesn't?

JohannaArendt says:

So I, the taxpayer, am paying parents to send their kids to parochial school? Where they can learn that Darwin was wrong and the fossil record is a hoax? Not on your LIFE! I, the taxpayer, am MORE than happy to pay for PUBLIC schools so everyone has a fair chance at a good education. If you want to teach your religion to your kids at home, more power to you. But do it on your own dime.
