Hello I wanted to buy a 1070 ( with i5 8400) but I noticed I could afford the gap btw 1070 and 1080 but I'll have a 1080 p 75hz monitor(can't go for 144 hz rn my summer part job money is not enough) Will the i5 8400 Bottleneck the 1080 and is it just bad to go for gtx 1080 to be 100% future proof ?

I made a similar build, master box lite 5. Not sure I could recommend it as the airflow is terrible even with three front fans. Not enough intake vents to even utilize 2 of them.
If I’m going to do heavy multitasking, would you recommend getting more ram, maybe 32gb?
@Tech Deals, Hello , I just bought a new gaming pc with these specs : 8700K, Noctua NH-D15 , 2×8 3200mhz , asus tuf pro z370 , 1070 ti , 650W PSU , My cpu temperature sits at 55C to 60C at idle and my cinebench scores are about 740 for the multithread and 140 for single core , cpu is running at 4.3ghz all cores . what do u think is the issue with my pc? I asked one person and he told me it could be a VRM issue

I really think you should be testing with a 2700X, you mention using the latest Intel cpu`s to game on so why not the latest AMD cpu`s. XFR is much better for squeezing that extra performance. You mention overclocking but a lot of guys running AMD rigs at 4.3GHz or is it only Intel you are allowed to do that. If were going on price then the a good alternative is the 2600X
You should try playing World of Warcraft because it runs like crap on every system since it doesnt really even use the GPU. 4ghz AMD? 40fps lol

You should have made a $1000 PC with just the newegg fantastech sale. (just talking about the deals, and potential options for a 1k PC. Not saying you have to buy the parts) (I honestly think you could have put a ryzen 5 1600, b350 tomahawk motherboard, 16 GB of ram, some storage, a good psu, and a fantastic Gtx 1080 for around 1k USD with this sale)
