Take Hiro LOL says:

Oh yes, the classic 60 Series that most likely would be a super popular video!

For the Every 3 Years Upgrade Club, folks, this is your video!

Bob be busy Building says:

I really miss the shows and the discord but I can't deny I do like seeing videos back in tbe channel instead if just shows! Sad about the discord but I understand it being a big distraction for your work. I would ask through those venues but what's your say on the current gpu market? 3080 worth it now other the 4080?

Tomasz Chmielewski says:

1660 is not 60 series card?

virtious8 says:

I did have my eye on a 3060ti but didn’t pull the trigger and then a brand new EVGA 2060 still sealed in box came up for $170 so I snapped that up instead. Best bang for the buck I’ve ever spent!

Stuart Thurstan says:

Everything was fine up until the 1060, but the 2060 & 3060 really can't be put into the same category. They're in a completely different price bracket! p.s. I still have an OC edition of the 960 with 4GB of ram, and it's still faster than some new cards on sale today 😉

Sinh4ad says:

My Gaming / Entertainment PC, RTX 3060, Ryzen 5 2600, 32 GB ram, 2 SSDs, Monitor is MSI 3440*1440P 100 hz, works pretty dope. Just waiting for GTA 6 2024, will do a complete overhaul.

cyllan anassan says:

i cant stress how much better a 1440p display is……1080 you see nothing, i dont care how "smooth" it is , to play at 1080 in 2022 is insulting…..if you play FPS online, just do what the rest of the players do, get bots, the detail in 1440p is 2x 1080p…..and 27" is the perfect size/price for 1440p , pixel density is very important, otherwise play on an x-box ,PS4-5 for 4k at 30fps

E B says:

Cool, am shopping now and this video is perfect timing

Black Reaper says:

the 960 schlackels itself 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣love you guys😍

Carson brindley says:

Swear those bloopers made it, laughed way too hard. In all seriousness though, would love to see the 1060-6gb's continued involvement into the 4060's prime. It does so much better than the 3gb variant, and especially the 960-4gb, which IT's discontinuing is completely understandable. I feel like the 4 generation comparisons tell a much more complete story of the development of generational GPU's. Just as the 960's do in this video. So a 10, 20, 30, 40, -60 style comparison would be awesome! Keep up the amazing vids!

MTcoiner says:

Thanks for the run down Tech Team.

Christian Aviles says:

Hey Tech! Love your content. I currently own a 3700x and a 5700xt, 32gb RAM, 750w PSU. I game at 1440p games like Cyberpunk, NFS Unbound, CoD, and I use a second monitor for mainly discord or watching something else. I would love to upgrade but I am unsure of what to choose with so many options. NFS Unbound runs around 40-57 fps, CP around 45-50, would like them to run smoother. Would love an i5-13600K but I own a B550 MB, would love to hear your recommendation, thanks and have a good one!

Trancelistic Studio says:

I guess the 2060 is now rly close to the 3060 8 gb version.

Fabius Maximus Cunctator says:

Your decision to drop both the 960 and 1060 is perfectly reasonable, but I'd ask you to keep at least the Pascal card. This makes it obvious if Nvidia give us gamers a real generational upgrade. The 3060 isn't even a "real" 60 class card, as it can't beat the former 80 class. 1060/980 and 2060/1080 did though. The 960 was a bit of an outlier so it was dropped in MSRP. Imo the 3060 is a 3050 Ti at best as it has issues to draw the 1080 Ti. In your benchmarks the 3060 is often only 15% faster than the 2060, despite costing way more over it's lifespan. I know the 2060 was a huge price hike over the 1060, but often it is over 60% faster as well. The 3060 is just embarrassing. It should have been 199 and 6GB.
I love those kind of videos and I really appreciate watching them. I know they require extrem effort. Please stay that critical voice you've been when starting this channel! We need you! 💪🏻

mattato says:

super glad this was posted!!! i've got a brother who's still using his 2700X on a B450 Tomahawk, and i've been looking to upgrade his 1060, def will consider the deals AMD cards got going on rn, but I was initially considering a 2060/2020Super. Thanks for the informative video tech lets goooo

Mad Rooky says:

The 12GB 2060 is totally underrated for people playing on 1080p and not craving for RT.

Pyasa Hyena says:

What about 1660? Why didnt it made the list please? I was looking to buy 1660 super, what would you suggest in that price range, thanks

steve parker says:

I love these video's. Keep it up dude.

Boris Lovo The Red says:

i watch it while working even if i dont have any of them xd

yoster77 says:

I'll throw another angle at this. I love these older cards. I have 3 daughters (all under 12 years old). I've paired each of them up with little $99 (on sale) Ryzen 5600 chips (or an equivalent deal on the Intel side.. whatever was on sale at the time) – and 4gb 1050Ti's. You could loosely compare it to the 960 4gb in this video (which we also have in a guest room, albeit the 2gb version).

Now that said, my daughters also use these small 20-22" widescreen 720p (and some odd 9xx resolution) monitors. You know what, they love them – they won't even let me upgrade it! They're able to play a whole host of games with their friends. Fall Guys, Minecraft, Overcooked, those lego games, etc. With an SSD in them and that ryzen, they really feel snappy. Super budget system but scoring these older (and now cheap!) cards – paired with those lower resolution monitors to help framerate – total score for Dad on a budget!! And shoot they don't even look that bad. Plenty of fun to be had.

Also check out those 5700XT's – going for $150 on eBay right now. Tech DEAL! Ex-mining sure but I've picked up a few and no issues thus far. PayPal buyer protection just in case!

yoster77 says:

Man, time flies. I still have an old 960 (yes, 2gb as you guessed!) laying around – it's sitting in the guest room for basic web browsing and media purposes and the occasional light game (terraria.. roblox (for the kids) and similar) – but despite having newer cards in the house, darn it if it doesn't feel like I "got that thing just yesterday." I'm starting to sound like my dad… I guess as a guy in my 40's it's ok to start saying that lol!

Matt Fischer says:

Really appreciate these types of videos, especially when trying to recommend to someone else who is doing a first build on the cheap

Ionel Roza says:

Thanks for the video.
Now you have to make the 70 and 80 class GPU videos 🙂

Pocketkid2 says:

Bring Back GTA V for benchmarking!

Michael McConnell says:

What a great episode, thanks. My 8yo's setup is a Haswell i7 with a 1650. I think he's gonna get a 2060 next.

Rar Rar says:

I got a 3060 back in April and it's still the same price if not more while 6600xt and 6700xt were more expensive but have since both are cheaper. If I were buying right now, I would be getting AMD. To make matters worse, now there is the 8gb 3060 which performs on par with a 2060 yet not priced lower than the 12gb so it's kinda pointless, anti-consumer and may fool some not aware of the silent launch that it's the same gpu as the 12gb version

super boss says:

GTX 1060 aged pretty well with ite drivers

super boss says:

3060 bad apu in my opinion

DSG REESE says:

Hell yeah started with the EVGA 960 4GB MINI, 1060 MSI GAMING X 6GB, EVGA HYBRID FTW ,and now the EVGA RTX 1070 XC3 ULTRA
