I always wondered how they got away with using 200 like coupons in one trip, then I learned the stores let them bend the rules for the show. Back when I was heavy into coupons, double coupons were common and I also got in on triples a few times, but the limit was always 2 like items/coupons. Even now that I only use a few digital coupons now and then, I still grab 2 of anything that's on sale that I use regularly, sheer force of habit. Have to admit I do miss the satisfaction of extremely good deals and being able to share with friends & family. Never really had room to stockpile much, or the nerve to try multiple transactions on one trip.

It wasn't 95 items it was 95 scans per transaction which included everything scanned including store card and coupons. Wich equates to 47 items and a single equivalent coupon scan per item.
How many people only scan 47 items plus discount whats staged is the controles you see onscreen.
Coupons also only work if the store clerk who programs the registers have inputted the coupon scan for that sale cycle so if the computers aren't updating correctly that's on the store. Sales usually go from Wednesday to Wednesday and they have a special shift of staff who get paid a different wage just to update the system and switch out the store tags. If an item sold out the raincheck is usually good for 90 days and 325/250 of that particular item depending on that stores policies which is specific to flavor ounces weight packaging ECT. Ect. So cambpells soup that is a certain flavor has to be specificly that item flavor size weight and ounces so it is easier to extreme shop after the fact. It locks in all sale prices for 90 days. I'm talking specifically raincheck items which are locked in at the sale price items after the sale ends.
This allowes you three months to find a way to make this product free to you. Using normal couponing tricks and procedures, for example price matching out of region paper coupon as well as digital. When the sale price is locked in you can pre-order for up to the amount of the raincheck and still be honored the sale price for the item up to 90 days out. You can use same inserts that didn't get used for that sale cycle that honored for 90 days out that no one else can so you can collect at the recycling center that is now available to everyone for free. Once you realize you can get the store to write you an IOU for food every Wednesday that they sale out on and go to collect on coupons no one else can you are now shopping for free.
