Christine Klemp says:

Hi Lo – great content! One way I have learned to save at the grocery store is to focus on needing just enough food for the time , such as 7 days worth if you shop weekly. Of course if it's a nonperishable item like pasta I would sock up but i dont over buy nearly as much if i remind myself to stay on course for only 7 days at a time.

Yankee Doodle says:

Super cool girl 👧

Brit BC says:

I love the app Flipp! It collects sales ads and puts them in one place. My husband and I share a list, so if he is on his way home he can stop and get something. You can also enter an item in and see if it is on sale anywhere.

Daniel Woodcock - Personal Finance says:

Very interesting video Lo.
Finding out people waste so much food is shocking.
I find the best way to not buy so much is to do shopping after you've eaten food.
If I'm hungry when I'm out getting groceries I end up with so much I wouldn't normally buy. Snacks, Pizzas, Soda etc.

Samantha Aksu says:

off topic but where is your necklace from?? i love it!

Corina Macleod says:

Great tips! Grocery pickup is life changing!! Saves so much time and money.

Chelsea Dau says:

something that helped me was finding unconventional ways to use up ingredients, for example, repurposing pasta sauce into the base for a curry. sounds weird but it actually turned out well!

Rylee Faust says:

For two adults, a toddler and a baby, I feel like we spend WAY too much on grocery and household goods!

Things that have helped me: shopping at Aldi first and then just go to Walmart for what I can’t get at Aldi. I stick to routine meals and snacks that I know how to make and what goes into it so I don’t have to buy extra things, basically my grocery list is very similar every time. We retrofitted our kitchen sink soap dispenser so that I have the huge gallon bottle of dish soap underneath and I only have to replace that like once a year lol. I check the bulk aisle at Walmart, things like juice mix, peanut butter, ranch dressing etc we go through enough of to buy the huge containers.

Budget with A July Dreamer says:

I never go shopping without a list because I know I will start buying what I don’t need. I always do a pantry inventory before going shop and I reduced my monthly budget thanks to it.

Dear Debt says:

Great tips. We absolutely love grocery pickup too!!!

Savannah says:

I’ve been binging your channel the last few days. We were super strict with our budget for a few months and then got off in March and April. Now we’re back at it and have about $18,000 of debt to pay off. Thankful it isn’t more. Love your videos and these tips were great!

Also: tip for the raspberries scenario- freeze them! You can use them in smoothies or top yogurt with them. Frozen fruit is a great summertime snack. If you can buy it frozen you can freeze it yourself! 😁

andhisband says:

I love these; thanks, Lo! I buy a half-gallon of hand soap, too, which works great for me. I tried buying a half-gallon of ketchup once (cheaper by the ounce) but it does go bad, so that was not a good idea for me. I'm even regretting buying the 17 oz. bottle of sriracha. Live and learn.

Jasmine Flores says:

Loved the 1st tip. Never thought of it!! Thank you!!

Ugh Ugh says:

I have found what helps me with groceries and food waste is trying to always have the mindset of gratitude. Remembering there are people and children around the world who would have loved those bananas I let go bad and threw away. It has help be be more mindful which in turn creates less waste in my house. <3

Jessica Branas says:
