Let’s look at what makes up a great restaurant coupon and pizza coupon.

First, you have the price and what you get for that price. But what does the heavy lifting – in this image? Is it the price? The food? NOPE. It’s a dashed border around the coupon. People associate the border with savings. So even if you list it at an everyday price with some extra add-ons, the best coupon that gets the most attention is the dashed line.

This is an important distinction because most people think that it’s the price that drives people. So they come up with a really low price – it might even be a price that costs them money instead of makes them money.

Now, based on the visuals in this video, you’ll also see a great way to convey a more powerful incentive. Adding two power words – PLUS and FREE. If you bundle a deal but don’t point out that one of the items is free or added-value.

Don’t always go for the low price. Create better restaurant coupons and use visual cues to get your customer into your restaurant and still make money.
