Discounts and automatic discounts || Shopify Help Center 2018
If you’re looking for a great way to promote items, sell older stock, or entice new customers to purchase, try offering a discount! Offering discounts is a powerful marketing strategy, and a great way to draw attention to your store.
There are two types of discounts you can set up with your Shopify store. You can either create a discount code which customers need to manually add at checkout. Or, you can create an automatic discount, which is applied automatically for the customer.

Just lost a big order because my banner was not working and the email signup didn't work. I guess I don't know how or it's not working. Mad customer! is Privy and shopify different? Can you use 2 discounts?
yes, that's the problem you can only create one automatic discount when I went to create a second automatic discount for my other product that the percentage was different from my first as I'm creating two facebooks add with a different discount with different products it said to me There is 1 error with this discount:
Only one automatic discount can be active at a time. Select another date. I try to select another date for the code to start working and it keeps giving me the same error why was this not mentioned in the video? and why limit it to one automatic discount? I see that my first discount must have an end date to be able to start my other discount on that date but it's a ridiculous way to limit people on their the Shopify platform to only have one running at a time as we are always running more than one Facebook ad at a time for different product when we need to apply different discounts for different products in our adds, the automatic discount is a very genius idea but not a very genius idea to allow one automatic discount at a time for us to create.
I tried to create 2 automatic discounts, and Shopify alerted "only one automatic discount can be created at a time." Why not mention this is the video? And why limit it to one automatic discount?
