Brandon Lara says:

I just joined so I can get the heads up on the ps5 and Xbox x trying to get both on the low

Khon says:

I got a rewards number where do i redeem it?

Helen Keller says:

As a current SGA I have to say that with the boom of the collectible market, the current power up rewards program is working just fine and more people are signing up for it (in my experience, of course) I'm seeing people who aren't really core gamers or gamers at all signing up because they can preorder hard collectibles and guarantee they get one at retail price. I agree the gamer side is a bit less than what it was before, but I've not met a customer yet that has let their membership expire because of this.

Cryptothermia says:

what are membership savings

Elijah Thomas says:

I am just a simple magic playing teen so I just get a free pack every once in a while

Megan Evans says:

I don't buy physical games often, maybe once every two to three months. So the $5 coupon a month can be a better deal for someone like me if they buy a game that's under $50. Like if I normally buy games that are $40 then the $5 coupon would be 12.5% off. It seems these changes were made to appeal to a more causal gaming segment of the market.

Jimmy Fantage says:

I love the monthly $5 credit. I don't buy video games from Gamestop anymore, much better deals are on eBay, Best Buy, and Amazon. I just buy Gamestop's gaming accessories, toys and apparel. I buy 1 thing a month at best so I get the bang for my buck paying $15 for a year of pro membership. 😀

DOPEBOYY 540 says:

If i wanna try a game I'll go to redbox fuck pre owe game G that's dead.. because even the new ones that comes that just was up out the package is still 5 dollars less then the new that wasn't been opened

FITST says:

I was so upset when I found this out, this is the last time I’ll be a pro member

GhettoJoe says:

yes they are dropping the games because PS5 and X-box 90000 will be all digital for new games

Jerson Hernandez says:

I miss mom and pop shot you actually could get a good deal

Sponge says:

in Ireland if you pay 17 euro a year, you get the level 3 card which gives you 10% extra trade credit, 30% off third party acessories, monthly offers, 30% off 2 for 1 and a digital 12 month subscription to game informer. doesn't seem that bad in my oppinion, my only problem is my dumb ass lost the card and i probably won't be able to get anew one for a few weeks thanks to this country lock down

Simon R. says:

It’s funny how years ago Microsoft got backlash for their plans with the Xbox ONE and its DRM plans (at the time) where they were basically charging people a fee to play their used games which they thought would combat people purchasing used over new. Now we have GameStop nixing their own 10% discount on preowned games. There was a time when GameStop was known for making big money on people purchasing preowned over new and even had their employees suggest it because of the 7-day return policy. Do they have something else that sells like hotcakes that I’m just not aware of? Funko Pops? Collectibles? I miss those days let me tell you. Is this also what you'd call an ironic situation? I've never been great with the definition of irony.

I have also seen some people online defending this new PowerUp Rewards Pro program that seem to be defending it to the death. It might be a good deal for ’YOU’ and it might even work out in your favor but that doesn’t mean that it’s a great deal universally and those same people I’ve seen act like it is. The GameStop page on Facebook is a cesspool of these people defending the new rewards program amongst the others who complain about GameStop or post their predictions of when and if they'll close.

I don’t see why they couldn’t keep the PowerUp Rewards Pro program the way it was and just add in the $5.00 coupon for those that want to use it. That added benefit of the $5.00 coupon could even be used to explain the price increase for membership. The only reason I can think of why they wouldn’t is because they’re either chintzy or want to save on money. We’ll have to see just how much they drop the preowned prices of games at GameStop but so far I’m not invested in renewing once my subscription runs out. Thanks for reading!

Gerardo Cabrera says:

I payed 15$ today for a membership, so are they going to charge me 15$/ month or annually?

Daisy Fuentes says:

Mine is up next month. I won’t renew and will shop there less

Chance White says:

If I wanted to pay more and get less, I'd talk with my medical insurance rep. :/ They always hit me up to renew my almost 2 years lapsed PowerUp Rewards, and I tell them there is literally no upside to the program anymore.
