1200 for two??? we do 600 for 4 going on 5 PLUS 7 animals…. these guys are financially illiterate af, that is scary

@leelaural says:

I look for "loss leaders" which is the item/s discounted by a store to lure people in…the store knows they are losing money on it but believe the customer will buy so many other items it'll make up for it…..but don't….buy the loss leaders, and buy many if you can store them…..resist impulse shopping….most of all, buy lots of what is a good sale, and if you have the room/freezer to hold them….why not buy 8 ketchups when they're cheap?…or brownie mixes…you'll use them all eventually.

I love Ibotta. I’ve been using it for months💖💖

$1200 for two people?!?!?! That's just nuts! I did a huge grocery shop today and spent $325 and we can eat for at least 3 weeks off that if not longer. And there was very little scrimping in what I bought. I'd be curious to know what the heck they were buying for that $1200, sounds to me like a whole lot of convenience foods and a lack of cooking abilities. I also pack/make lunches all week for both my husband and I. Scratching my head here. I agree totally with getting groceries via pickup, it keeps you from throwing a lot of things into your cart that aren't on your list–and the time saved is wonderful!

@Leslie_Oramas says:

I spent 1,200 $ a month too or more (we are a family of 4)🥹😢 but this year i want to make the things differently and i want to spent less, thanks for the tips ❤❤❤❤🙏🏻

It’s not “free cheese” it’s free “dairy product”. Ughhh.

@waynewood8840 says:

I know! I could save thousands by using a laundry detergent subscription!

So basically shop around and plan ahead. Two things I struggle with. 😂

We are a family of 6. We have 100 bucks a week to spend on everything that isn't a bill. Clothes, shoes, house supplies and groceries. It can be done!

@TLStitches says:

I have always watched for sales and learned the best prices at different locations. I know how to work a grocery list by store and I run errands in a specific order to not waste gas by running back and forth. I get butter and bananas at a chain gas station in our area and I buy several pounds of butter and freeze it. I also freeze excess produce when I hit a great sale and buy more than we need. Comes in handy for so many things! I implement everything you talked about. My husband was stunned when he saw how I was always able to find the best deals. There is a home improvement store in our area that all year long offers 11% store rebates. They usually have what we need and they sell certain groceries as well. Where we get rebates I use them to purchase certain groceries because I know their price is comparable and I'm not paying anything with the rebate

@MyFocusVaries says:

I hesitate before stocking up, because you can get into the mentality of buying just because it's on sale. If you stock up, you've got to manage your inventory really well, because letting items go bad in your pantry kills any deal you got by buying on sale. I will buy one extra unless it's an item we use every day and the deal is incredible, and remember that things go on sale on a regular cycle.

@ireeyes21 says:

How do you find a discount food store?

@richardrybicki749 says:

but but I get good deals of things I or a neighbor can use in clearances

@richardrybicki749 says:

My friend whom coin is no problem I was so happy when he calls me from dollar tree or a goodwill or other thift.

@MM-te8fu says:

How in the he double hockey sticks do you pay $1,200 a month for groceries for two people I think they are living high on hog…we can eat for $700 a month for three people… And always always do clearance items even for food..I have bought Keurig pods for $5.. we have also picked up frozen crab cakes for a dollar a box needless to say I bought all 5 boxes

@carolwilliams8840 says:

Try to catch meat sales too. Jewel/Albertson often has sales of B1G2 free on certain meats. I just bought two packs of chicken breasts and got four packs free. I also bought one pack of pork loin and got two free. They also had an online coupon to get 5lbs of potatoes for only $199. I only shop their sales.

Very wise technology

@sandieknies9453 says:

I only have a bicycle to the question doesn't come down to gas but energy. If it's up I see it as extra fitness. My problem is the physical walking into a shop and walking out with ten things I don't need. We shop once a week to avoid this. Love your videos. Thanks #MinimalMom for the suggestion.

@oanairani41 says:

I love how your videos are all about eating cheap, on a dollar a day if possible. Meanwhile, on the videos you cook for your family, you use organic products and stuff from Thrive market😂😅😅

@aliciaperry8413 says:

Wow! There are 3 people in my house. If I spend more than 600 in a month I would lose it. I mostly do Walmart delivery. I am sad that people are spending over 1000 for just 2. Staying out of the store helps me too!

@jonibologna8275 says:

We are a family of four and we pay about $1200 a month. It’s terrible. We try our best. We live in Canada (on an island) and our prices are higher as is.
