I talk about four ways we save money on our groceries. #1. We meal plan around store sales. #2. We analyze how much recipes cost to make and have a few great healthy go-to meals that are affordable to make. #3. We cook easy to prepare meals from scratch as much as possible. #4. We find the lowest price per lb. (or unit) of the items that we buy on a consistent basis. For fun I give an example of this step in action and talk about how doing this simple task saves us over $1000.00 on food per year.

Ashley Loughran says:

I would also love a video with your frugal meals!

Zachary Todd says:

great video idea. right now we r having to be real tight on the money we have left over I definitely need ideas for groceries

My frugal life says:

We do all of these things to save. I often do a cost analisus on the meals, and found that mashed potatoes, bought for 99 cents for a 10 lbs bag, is the cheapest meal, even if you add milk and butter to it.

Kristy Michas says:

Would ❤️to see your go to meals !!!! Thanks so much !!!

Finding a way says:

Wow!!! this video is amazing! The grahm cracker example!!! mind blown!!! look forward to more videos on this subject? we spend way to much on food. my kids have sensitivities and allergy and are picky and the husband is picky to. we probably spend what you spend in a month on our stuff in a two week period or close to it. Really need to change something.

Finding a way says:

yes please share your basic meals and some cost break downs!!!

LongTermLottery says:

The Graham cracker example is a great example. Pre packaged gimmick items are a great place to save.

Life As Crystal says:

I love doing cost analysis on products as well. Is your toiletry and personal care type items included in your grocery budget as well or do you have a separate budget for those things?

Thrift Kid says:

I can't believe the graham cracker difference. Holy cow! I like how you do these calculations for "fun" hahaha. I can relate.
